Nice extended weekend for a couple

We liked the location, AAA+++. The staff was very accomodating and helpful. The pool and the terrace are nice addition.

The orange juice at breakfast did not taste like natural. The furniture and overall interior is a bit old (but still everything works, everything's clean).

Good value.

The hotel is overall very good value for money. The location is central Funchal, and the rooms have a little balcony. I found the staff exceptionally friendly.

Refrigerators were available for rent, but that they were not in every room may make me think twice about booking again for a longer stay. I'd be nice if one could order drinks or snacks from the pool area. It seems set-up for that, but it was closed the entire time I was there. Breakfast was a bit meh. Could use a bit more variety.

Good hotel, friendly, helpful staff made my stay in Madeira all the more enjoyable.

Location, breakfast offerings, staff, cleanliness, pool. Felt safe. My room was at back so it was quiet. I understand from others that rooms in front were noisier.

The plug in air freshener in lobby seating area gave off a strong ‘artificial’ odour. Was unpleasant when sitting there.

Comfy bed, good breakfast. Good for a couple nights!

This is a super nicely located hotel, it’s not the nicest I’ve been to but for what we needed and just a couple nights it was more than enough. The best is incredibly comfortable and the breakfast is great, but the 60s styled hotel and not the cleanest ever does pull out rating down a little. Staff is wonderfully nice and this is right in the heart of Funchal.

Not the cleanest ever! Could be a little bit more clean. The bathrooms need a makeover

Great location ,lovely hosts ,amazing island

Amazing roof top pool in the centre of funchal ,spent every evening in the pool area watching the sun go down and the Town light up ,The staff are very friendly and the cleaners are meticulous, The area around the Hotel has loads of hidden bars in narrow streets well worth searching for ,definitely do the west island full day tour and the lift up to the top of the island is well worth it

Wonderful

The staff was excellent and diversity in breakfast is very good considering the relationship with the price. The entire hotel staff is very nice and do all to make us feel great. It stays near the city center which is also a bonus.

Great value stay in the centre of Funchal

The hotel is really well located and a bit tucked away so it's not too noisy at night. My room was huge and very comfortable. The swimming pool was a nice addition, especially welcome on a hot day. The breakfast had a good variety, especially for cold items, the hot ones left a bit to be desired but I find that's often the way!

I did have a few ants in my room, I think a sweet had been left under the bed which encouraged them in. Nothing too awful though and the value for money made up for it.

Really nice rooftop pool. Friendly staff (including the bartender who even remembered our drink orders). Good location and spacious room

No air conditioning in the room and the area was a bit loud so it was hard to sleep with the windows open. Hotel is a bit dated
